At the
end of summer school, you will report for work at a location determined
by the employer. You may have some say in this although chances
are you will have to relocate. If this is a problem, we need to
know about it before you commit to the program.

Over the three years, you will be treated as a
normal graduate hire and do the same level of work. You will have
a major advantage, however, because the BIT (Mainframe Computing) at
the University of Canberra will better prepare you for the mainframe environment
than the normal degree program. After the first summer school you
will hit the ground running; the difference is noticeable.
There are many roles in a large corporate IT function and when you
get into the second year you need to think about where you would
like to go. There are a number of career options and these will
start to open up to you as you progress in your understanding of
mainframe technology.

and the career opportunities.
