MainTrain is a degree program plus work experience
You must have the equivalent of the first year of an IT degree program at any Australian university by the end of 2012. You will complete your degree through the University of Canberra and graduate in three years with a Bachelor of Information Technology (Mainframe Computing).

You will be employed on full pay for the three years by one of the Program Sponsors and gain valuable work experience in large commercial applications. By the time you graduate, you will already have the foundation for a career in the mainframe environment.
