Global Online Learning and the University of Canberra offer two programs of study specialising in Mainframe Computing. Both programs of study lead to exceptional careers in large commercial systems and are tailored to suit the needs of major employers in the public and private sectors.

  • This program is for students who have completed the first year of an IT degree at university or a Diploma in Software Development at TAFE.

  • Successful applicants work for an employer in Australia or New Zealand while completing the BIT(MC) in summer schools and online over three years.

  • Your employer pays for your study on top of salary so you graduate with three years of valuable work experience and no fee debt.

  • You must be able to work full time so this program is restricted to Australian and New Zealand citizens and permanent residents.

  • The traineeship is not available to International students studying in Australia.

  • The MIT(MC) is a high-level, postgraduate program and is open to:

    • Full-time or part-time Australian students who want to specialise in mainframe computing at the postgraduate level.

    • International students who are planning to study full-time in Australia and have suitable undergraduate qualifications.

    • International students who are already in Australia on a student visa and are studying IT at either the undergraduate or the postgraduate levels.

  • There are exciting work experience opportunities for International students in their final semester.
